Julia Reda


Julia Reda was elected to the European Parliament for the Pirate Party in 2014. She is a Vice-Chair of her parliamentary group, the Greens/European Free Alliance. In the European Parliament, she serves as a coordinator for the Greens/EFA in the Committee on Internal Market & Consumer Protection (IMCO), as a member of the Legal Affairs (JURI) committee, and the committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE). She was elected to the Enquiry Committee on the Emissions Scandal (“Dieselgate”) and co-founded the Digital Agenda intergroup. Her legislative focus is on copyright and internet policy issues. In 2015, she was responsible for the Parliament’s evaluation of the Copyright Directive.

Ian Evans


Ian Evans serves as Managing Director for EMEA at OneTrust, a global leader in privacy management software which helps organizations operationalize data privacy compliance and Privacy by Design.

Evans is a diversified senior executive with deep experience in data privacy and CRM technology applications and services.  He brings over 20 years of software industry experience to OneTrust as well as 10 years in direct and channel sales.  In his role, Evans supports thousands of multi-national brands across the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions, leading the delivery of technology solutions to secure and privatize customer and employee personal information under new privacy regulations.

Prior to OneTrust, Evans served as Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA at AirWatch (acq. by VMware in 2014 for $1.54B).  AirWatch now serves more than 20,000 global customers and is recognized as the undisputed market leader in enterprise mobility management.

Jose Belo is currently at DATTA – Privacy Solutions, a data protection and privacy consulting firm. They specialize in Technology, Intellectual Property Law, Privacy Law and Data Protection Law. He holds a bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from University of Coimbra School of Law, where also currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree in Law, with a thesis focusing on Intellectual Property and its relationship with Data Privacy. He has a Certification in Law & Technology (US IP and Privacy Law) from the University of California at Berkeley and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

He also worked in Angola, as Director of Legal and Administrative Affairs for Paraurbana – Construcoes de Angola, S.A., a 100+ employee construction company, and as Strategic Business Advisor to the CEO of Liberty & Trevo (Angola) – Seguros, S.A., a large Angolan insurance company.

Bogdan Manolea


Bogdan Manolea is the Executive Director of Association for Technology and Internet – APTI Romania. Mr. Manolea has a legal background and a vast experience in the Law and IT&C. Author of over 150 presentations and articles on subject related to IT&C Law (e-commerce, privacy issues, domain names, Internet jurisdiction or e-government etc.) in national and international conferences. Owner of the only Romanian web page dedicated to the IT Law – Internet Laws – www.legi-internet.ro
